SYF

SYF is coming real soon. Each practise have determine the importance on what grading the school will get upon given by the Central Judgement of the Music Board. Stress? Intensity level is getting higher each day. All the best choir members. Do your best just for this prestigious event which only occurs each 2 years. Sec 4s and 5s. Jiayou!! I know most of you are stress up 3 or 2 ways.

Worrying is futile. It only deteriorates results when you keep thinking you can’t make it. Its no point to stuck with this mind set because it will pull you down for sure. The only thing you can do is to keep repeating in your mind saying YOU CAN DO IT and JUST DO IT NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES. Once you are on for it, you are already prepared to head for a brighter future. By doing this, its a step to overcome the barrier you’ve been stuck and hang on to it in your CMI world. After overcoming this, its time to head on for a higher level and never be bothered by any difficulties. Its like overcoming a fear but its much more simple than overcoming a phobia.

Jiayou and all the best. Silver a main goal set upon the minds of you all. Its a thing you all yearn and strive for. Do not waste this efforts.

Choir is doing better and better. Especially for the songs Bluebird and The Cooling Shadow. Eventhough they are somehow slow as they just started White Horse which goes on a seven-eighth beat which is tough likewise for both the choir and the conductor as well.

Overall, if you all can do well for White Horse as well as catch the harmony for The Cooling Shadow and Blue Bird. I don’t see theres no reason for you all not to get a Silver. Everyone shall put away your personal feelings and try your best together. Eventhough in the beginning its diffiicult but then just don’t give up without trying. We don’t like people who give up without saying a Yes to try.

Like the seniors, if you stop your rantlings about having too much work and important year for you. Your life will be much better. Think positively. Look at the examples given on the previous generations. Did they complain about having too much work and being on a important year and can’t come for choir or even having too much practices? You all made yourself unhappy because of all your personal reasons.This CCA is all about joy. Think about how others will think because of your selfishness and also think about how the other seniors manage to stay in choir happily while you can’t.

Everything has to do with something. If you can do something to adjust and make your life better. Why not? Don’t be selfish, think and say. You never what comes out from your mouth will affect people deeply… Thank You [i guess seniors…you are old enough to think and spare a thought not just for yourself. Others as well

Audition

The intense SYF audition blow every member in fear. Members, don’t be afraid whether you will get in or not. Think positively and miracle will happen. Don’t give up till the last minute as the results are not yet out. SYF is coming soon 2more months times. Everyone must work hard for it and strive likewise silver or gold where you all soar.
Do avoid eating things and doing things that will affect your voices. Drink water and honey especially to soothen your throat and avoid sore throat and throat inflammation.
Its a short post as have not been updating for quite some time. Am hoping Choir will be much happier as we need to find a method to brighthen the members up instead of coming in with a blank face. Passer-by if you have a method to help ,do post a comment and i will be happy to oblige to. =)

Seriously, one person can’t change everything. Please work as one and put aside all your personal feelings because it ain’t helping. I know most of the seniors are stress as due to O’levels and time management to attend the CCA in additional the problems surfacing with declining happiness of the choir and some what the morale too. Juniors can take initiative to help out the seniors too. Simply approach them and ask what can you do for them. =)

School reopening

School’s reopening….
And The Most Shocking News For Those Who Were Not There During The Holiday Practise
The changes are…instead of 2 rehearsals per week , there will be 3 or 4 rehearsals starting on 2009.
Tentatively on Monday while confirmed days are Wednesday , Friday and Saturday.
So yea, for those who were absent during the holidays!! DO catch UP!!! No more time to waste as its going to be a fast year.

Furthermore Sec 1 Orientation will be held on Jan 6th , at night. You are required TO WEAR YOUR SYF OUTFIT!!!

Choir Farewell party (East Coast Park)

The Farewell party was well done =)
Most of the seniors really enjoy themselves…although its raining.
However, have to thanks the juniors for providing us the umbrellas so that we can reach the destination without facing the rain. Thanks a lot to them. Hope they don’t catch a cold…due to the weather.

as we strive as one and work hard to get a Silver for next year’s SYF.
Well, Choir…you all must take care of the teachers like Ms Wang ,Mrs Chan and even Mrs Fawzie.
They are the ones always who were there for us when we are in need. Hence, by taking care and assisting them is something like a repay to them for what they’ve done for us…all the benefits and advantages that they have provided us. Hence, i like to thank all the choir committee members and The Choir for providing the seniors a vivid memory that is unforgettable which shall be part of us for the rest of our lives.

Ok…Finally i go some updates

Choir’s Farewell will be Russell’ s House and not a chalet…
It is decided that will be held the november 15th* (So seniors , Juniors please take note of this)

In additional, choir is having a new system that each section of the choir will have different colours of files to put their scores…
So…THOSE WHO HAVE NOT BOUGHT THEIR FILES PLEASE DO SO ASAP…..IF NOT…YOU KNOW…**

Teacher’s Day

Based on the comments from Mrs Fawzie and other teachers….We Did Very Well=)
In Additional ,the teachers are looking for performances done by the whole choir next year!! JIAYOU!
For the Choral Asessment, there were no failure but surprising results…Hmm,ARE YOU ALL HAPPY WITH YOUR RESULTS? Hopefully all of you ba?
We Have 6 groups              
2 groups with Distinction    
and                                                    
4 groups with Merit!!           
Which everyone had put in great effort and performed to their best!!!
